I went to my Canadian friends and we had a good round of 15min laugh about it, thanks. Believe it or not it is not that easy to say it the way we do in Persian. The thing is the months of year are enumerated. So, when an English native speaker says "October " it itself is corresponded to number 10, but for us as foreigner that is a different case.

- What number the month of Azar is enumerated with 

- What number does the month of Azar correspond with  

both sentences are it is awkward as they were ended with preposition.

One of my friends who is very easy going , said "simply say what month is October(i asked instead of Azar)".

Anyways, honestly I dont have a good answer for it. but you were right my answer was obscured!

I up voted your answer because of reference, but honestly my friends did not find any of them a proper way of asking it and yet they did not have they own answer either.

So, I would say we should all stick with this answer and adjust our English :)
