In this case, Cross-border unitization covers situations where a reservoir lies across a delimited boundary between the two countries, and it involves the treatment of the petroleum reservoir as a single deposit. JDA was developed for this reservoir and the reservoir was developed as a single deposit from beginning life of the reservoir. The performance of the reservoir under JDA was compare to the cases where each country alone produces from the reservoir. This method was compared in term gas production, economics and formation damage.
