We need to see what the function of "بلا به دور" is. We usually say this when we go to visit someone who has recently gone through a disease or accident or any bad experience. Suppose you go to visit your sick friend in the hospital. The moment you see him, you say "بلا به دور". The function of this sentence is to express your deep sorrow and the fact that you hope this will never happen again. Therefore we can use the following expressions:

 

I was really sorry to hear that.

I was deeply sad to hear that.

I hope this is the last time (you go through something like this)

I hope God will never put you through anything like this again.

Or simply

May God keep you safe.
