To botch= to bungle (also see bodge, cock up)

If you botch something that you are doing, you do it badly or clumsily.

3- The whole thing was a botch job .

cut corners= to do something perfunctorily so as to save time or money.

Guys,

In my opinion, the closest equivalent to this Persian phrase is:

"Gloss over something"

macmillandictionary: to ignore or avoid unpleasant facts

He could no longer gloss over his failures.

thefreedictionary: to cover up, minimize, or play down something bad.

Don't gloss over your own role in this fiasco! I don't want to gloss this matter over, but it really isn't very important, is it? The report praised the managers but glossed over the high cost of the project.

dictionary.cambridge: to treat something in a way that fails to recognize its importance or its faults:

Popular writing sometimes glosses over important facts.

oxforddictionaries: Try to conceal or disguise (something unfavourable) by treating it briefly or representing it misleadingly

the social costs of this growth are glossed over

اگر بخوایم یک واقعیت تلخ رو خیلی جذاب جلوه بدیم میشه از اصطلاح «sugar-coat» استفاده کرد:

She has very strong opinions, and she doesn't try to sugarcoat them
