what's the difference between "rule" and "law"?

سلام دوستان.

لطفا یه جوری توضیح بدین که بشه برای بچه ها تو کلاس توضیح داد.

اینکه بعضی دوستان، از دیکشنری های مختلف، تعریف هایی می ذارن، خیلی خوبه، اما بنده دنبال یه توضیح کاربردی برای استفاده توی کلاس می خوام.

Law:

Laws are more formal, A group of representatives get together spend time and resources to come up with laws which can be applied to entire society, everyone with no exceptions

They are usually written and be applied/enforced by officials like police etc.

Laws are more serious than rules in terms of consequences.

If you break a law You will be punished more seriously than breaking rules.

 

Rule:

Rules are more local, e.g. parents set up rules in house. If a kid eats too much of candy, no one from police comes to punish that kid, right? because that's just a rule applied to kids of that house not every one

but if that kid makes a loud noise and disturbs neighbours then an official will be called to take care of the kid, as he/she has bracken the law

 

For your website you set up rules, e.g. if a user gets too many negative points gets kicked out, but if a user posts a naked picture of his/her friendan official will be applying the law

 

Laws are broader, law of physics, traffic law, 

rules are more local, rules of a game, parietal rules, etc

Rule بیشتر به معنی قاعده است ولی 

law بیشتر به معنی قانون است.

rule an instruction that says what people are allowed to do or not allowed to do, for example in a game, school, or company:

law an official rule that everyone in a country, city, or state must obey:
 It is against the law to carry a concealed weapon.

Laws and rules are both very similar. Laws are binding, are enforced by bodies of the authority and a person is punished more severely for breaking them. Rules are less formal even though they are still there to ensure that things get done properly.

lawکلمه ی قانون غالبا برای کانتکس های حقوقیه،مربوط به دادگاه میشه. اصلا رشته ی حقوق دانشگاهی هم میشه the Law

اما rule قوانین معمولیه، مثلا شما میگی یکی از قوانین کلاس من اینه که دانش آموز باید سر کلاس نخنده، این دوجمله رو ببین:

According to the law, children's custody before the age of 5 is given to their mothers.

According to the rules of my class, students can't laugh during the time of my teaching.

Law در سطح کلان مملکته و برای کل جامعه تصویب میشه و یا مربوط به یک حیطه علمیه که مورد تإیید بزرگان آن علم قرار می گیره و برای همیشه تثبیت میشه. اما rule از اهمیت کمتری برخورداره و در سطوح پایین تری از جامعه مانند خانواده، ورزش، بازی به صورت قراردادی بین افراد مجموعه جهت تسهیل یا نظم دادن به امور اون مجموعه تعیین میشه و پشتوانه قانونی ممکنه نداشته باشه.
