Every man is worst for his own enemy!

این به نظر نمیاد ربطی به این سوال داشته باشه! داره واقعا؟
توسط (20 امتیاز)

Hi there,

In truth, I was wrong since I was really sleepy so I haven't written my saying correctly!

Here is the right one: Every man is/has his own worst enemy!

People also say that in another way: ''A man is his own worst enemy'' or without an article: ''man is his own worst enemy''.

Except for my first reply, they all mean:

We all behave in character. The character which determines a man’s behaviour is in a sense the man. So when a person does something, which we can see is bad for him, he often does it because it is his character to do so. It is therefore his character (himself) that is doing him harm and is his enemy.

I hope I was able to make myself understood!

Hi  Persiandude70,

Thanks a lot for returning my message, but I don't still see the relevance to the question asked here! Well, you might also agree that the question is about Being ready to

pay for the consequences of what we do.

He that would have eggs must endure the cackling of hens.

You must be willing to endure unpleasant, irritating things in order to get what you want.

e.g.:

Sue: I'm tired of working after school. All the customers at the store are so rude. Mother: But you wanted money to buy a car. He that would have eggs must endure the cackling of hens, dear.
