I like to bump that topic ( to the top) for further discussion.
To bump ( a post/thread/topic) (to the top)
In message board terms, to move a post to the top of the forum with a pointless reply, usually to one's own thread./in message board terms, to reply to a topic that has become inactive, thus "bumping" the thread to the top of the thread list./ This word is posted to a topic thread if the poster wants to re-call attention to the thread.
Examples:
1-John likes to bump his threads because he wants more replies to his post.
2-Man, this dolt bumped a thread from last year.
3-Most regular forum users typically hit "new posts" to read new posts since their last visit, so an old topic will be lost to these readers. Bumping a topic is essentially "bumping" it back into view for most readers.
4- Do not bump posts. Bumping a post to "the top" does not help your topic get noticed. The volunteers who try to answer questions look for those without replies first. If you bump a post, then it disappears from the 'No Replies' view.
