sooner VS earlier

What are the differences ?Please furnish me with some instances.

soon: a short time after now

- Get well soon.

- The work was hard at the beginning, bet she soon got used to it.

early

1. near the beginning of the time period that we are thinking about.

- Early that week, Rose called to the police station.

2. before the expected time

- The plane arrived ten minutes early.

3. As an adjective

- I caught an early bus.

4. In a formal style early can have the same kind of meaning as soon.

- Best wishes for an early recovery.

-Is it possible for you to set the meeting for (a sooner/an earlier) day?

* In the sentence below, there is a vivid difference between usage of earlier and sooner, but i don't know if this sentence with "earlier" has the same meaning as the previous sentence?
