but the definitions you said is used for the verb form of limp
besides, it doesn't indicate weakness in grammar
please pay attention to the following definitions from Longman dictionary

to walk slowly and with difficulty because one leg is hurt or injured

[ always + adverb/preposition ] if a ship or aircraft limps somewhere, it goes there slowly, because it has been damaged
as you see it doesn't used for this situation
but in your answer you used limp as a noun
limp as a noun only means:
the way someone walks when they are limping
